Since the end of 2019 we have moved to a new space that we have completely renovated.
A former billiard room, a meeting place for formidable card players, today is our base camp. An office of about 200 square meters with a garden that we have taken care of in every little detail with the logic of bioarchitecture, enriching it with ancient varieties of fruit trees otherwise at the brink of extinction.
We have chosen to regenerate a disused space by going for a total upgrade and transform it into a small "green factory".
All systems are new and with low energy impact, the fixtures are thermal break and the weak points of the walls have been healed and insulated with a 'coat' to ensure the reduction of dispersions. We decided to compensate for the use of electricity by providing the building with a roof photovoltaic system. The garden, once abandoned, will become a small green lung with an urban micro-garden by the summer.
Furthermore, for irrigation we do not waste water thanks to a purification plant: the so-called gray and rainwater are purified by going through a tank with water lilies and fish to eliminate the traces of soaps (however strictly 100% biodegradable) used in the small kitchen and in washbasins.
And more: printing and use of paper reduced to a minimum, zero plastic bottles, separate waste collection and a lot of common sense for the management of our new office in order to be as little impacting as possible on the environment. We don't just want to talk about sustainability and care of our planet, we want to be first and foremost actors of change.
